Be part of the crew and enjoy the festival from a different perspective.

Assignment period for volunteers: 14-21 May 2024

(depending on the area of assignment)

Our aim is to create a unique experience for our crew members and to provide an interesting insight behind the scenes of the iXS Dirt Masters festival organisation. For this reason, we create the best possible conditions and the following benefits for volunteers:

  • Volunteer clothing
  • Accommodation and meals for the duration of the assignment, depending on the task profile
  • Volunteer practical certificate to confirm your assignment

The various subject areas are listed below:

Media & Communications

Your affinity for media and journalism is not limited to passive reception, are you much more interested in the processes that take place in the background? In this area, you can feel the pulse of the event and help shape where the spectacular happenings surrounding the event are translated into emotional images and words.

Your profile:

  • In your second life you become a writer, writing comes incredibly easily to you.
  • Do you get carried away? Not with you. You get to the heart of events and capture them in pictures.
  • You're skilled at using photo/video equipment and skilfully capture subjects/actors.
  • Social media is not something you do in passing, you know the do's and don'ts.
  • You stay calm and keep things organised, even when everyone wants everything at once.

General Management

Right in the thick of it instead of just being there - and live at the sporting events as well as in the midst of international guests, media, means of transport or superstructures. Are you curious now? Welcome to General Management, where you will work as a passionate organiser in all areas of overarching project management and administration at sporting events.

Your profile:

  • You don't think, you work!
  • In hectic moments, you keep calm and maintain an overview and follow clear instructions.
  • You are also ready to get stuck in and can easily cope with physical exertion.
  • Rain, storms and other capricious weather are not a problem but a challenge!
  • You enjoy meeting people, are open-minded and like to help others.

If you are interested in being part of the crew, please send us a message with a CV including a picture and some background on your skills using the contact form below.

Marshals

Are you up close and personal the whole time - right on the track, keeping an overview and keeping a cool head in tricky situations? Then welcome to the important areas of a sporting event - the track! Nothing works without the marshals. They are the interface between the race organisation and the participants.

Your profile:

  • You are at least 16 years old.
  • Are you reliable and always five minutes early instead of late?
  • You are familiar with the various competitions and can assert yourself well.
  • You stay calm in hectic competitions, keep an overview and follow instructions.
  • You can easily cope with rain, storms and cold on the side.

You can register on the German Volunteers platform under the following link. The Tourist-Info Winterberg coordinates the volunteers in this field of work.
