The Spank Holy Bowly presented by GoPro contest was the absolute highlight in the slopestyle area today. Stars like Erik Fedko, Jake Atkinson and even Sam Pilgrim enchanted the fans with stunts in the bowl. From high jumps to best tabletop to a blatant tyre explosion from Sam Pilgrim, everything was there!
Full power at the VPACE Kids Cup
The youngest racers opened the festival day with the VPACE Kids Cup - and put on an impressive show. Fully focussed, the young bikers took to the course, firing through steep bends and leaving no doubt that the youngsters already have plenty of pressure on the pedals in gravity sports. Parents, spectators and fans created a festival atmosphere around the track - loud, warm and full of pride.
Next Generation at the PROPAIN Rookies Cup
The ambitious youngsters competed in the PROPAIN Rookies Cup. The seeding run showed that the next generation of downhill talent is ready to step on the gas. Technically clean, courageous and fast - the riders made it clear that they are not just here to gain experience, but also to really deliver. The atmosphere in the finish area? Pure enthusiasm.
Variety for all
Anyone who needed a break from the contest action in between could find everything that makes a biker's heart beat faster in the huge expo area: The latest parts, test bikes, goodies and shop talk at every corner. At the same time, the Schanzenwerk Progression Session provided pure motivation: Here, riders could hone their skills, try out new things and push each other - in keeping with the festival spirit.
