The festival continues to develop!
On the large-area parking lot across from the bike park, which in past times was the venue for wild rock concerts, there will be an expansion of the Expo for the first time from May 26 to 29.
"We work closely with the industry and capture feedback in conversations with our exhibitors and partners to continually improve the festival. This has led to the idea of including the Winterberg trail park more in the event concept and using it to test enduro bikes and E-MTBs. From the new expo area, it's just a stone's throw to the trails."
Christoph Deik, Event Coordinator
With this idea, the event crew has been welcomed with open arms by the industry. Major brands such as YT Industries, Canyon, Radon, Fox Racing Shox and Marzocchi, among others, are returning to Winterberg. In total, over 100 brands will be at the expo and present in a size not seen for a long time. From the festival entrance to the top of the mountain, there will be hardly a meter that will not be occupied by a manufacturer from the mountain bike industry.
There have also been a few changes to the schedule: After the slopestyle contest, which has traditionally taken place on Sunday afternoon, could only be held as a jam session several times due to gusts of wind, the team of organizer Frank "Lippe" Weckert has come up with something new. The contest will now be brought forward to Saturday evening and Sunday will be used as an alternative day in case the weather does not cooperate. Experience has shown that the wind dies down in the evening, which increases the chance of holding the contest. However, this change means that the Whip Off will already take place on Friday.
"The festival is going to be awesome this year. We have an awesome evening event in the slopestyle area on each day and can treat our visitors to some killer action. On Thursday ‘Rose Best of Ten‘, on Friday ‘TSG Whip Off presented by Spank‘ and then on Saturday the ‘Slopestyle PRO-Contest‘. How awesome is that, please?"
Frank "Lippe" Weckert, Organizer
As usual, the entrance to the festival area is free of charge. However, tickets are required for the events in the Slopestyle area, which can be purchased in advance at the ticket shop.
In summary, this can only mean one thing: The iXS Dirt Masters Festival in Sauerland will again be an action-packed weekend!
