Do you charge an admission fee for spectators?

NO!

The Festival is free of charge for spectators. In case you want to take part in a competition/race, a registration fee must be paid. Additionally, due to the Corona measures, it is necessary to buy a ticket for the slopestyle area in advance.

Does the 3G regulation apply?

Yes, the 3G regulation applies: tested, vaccinated or recovered.

Where can I get tested?

There are various test centres in Winterberg. There will even be a test tent set up at the festival site. However, we recommend that you take a test in your home town before you arrive, as there may be longer waiting times at the testing points in Winterberg. We also recommend using a test centre in town on the following days before coming to the bike park. For example this one:

Am I considered to have been tested as a pupil in NRW?

According to the NRW ordinance, no proof is required for children and young people under the age of 16. Pupils over the age of 16 require a certificate from their school or a 3G certificate. Nevertheless, a negative test result can't hurt.

Can I take part in the competition in case I am underage (below 18 years)?

Yes!

You're more than welcome to participate in the various competitions that happen during our festival. But it is absolutely mandatory that your parents sign a letter of agreement / disclaimer which you can download here.

Where can I park?

There is a big parking lot on the opposite side of the festival-area. A parking fee will be charged there. Parking is only possible for one day, (Thursday and Sunday from 8am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 11pm) It is not possible to leave your car there overnight. If you do so, your car will be towed at your expense. Camping is strictly forbidden.

In case the parking lot is full, a park and ride system will be applied. Additional parking lots will be displayed along the road. There is no pre-sale of parking tickets.

Can my band apply to play a concert?

We kindly ask you to send us no booking requests as we are not focused on concerts. It's pretty much impossible for unknown bands to play a show. Sorry!

Which tracks are open during the Festival?

The following tracks/lines are open to public during the festival:

  • Beginner & Kids Parcours mit Pumptrack (minor restrictions due to Kids Cup)
  • KyrHill (minor restrictions due to Kids Cup)
  • Woodpecker
  • Schwalbe Loose Lee
  • North Shore (partial sections rideable)
  • SRAM Flow Country
  • Schneewitchen Trail
  • Fairy Trail

Only the regular lift tickets (1-day, morning and afternoon tickets) are available via the online shop!

Attention: From Monday (13.09.2021) before the festival the course preparations for the competitions will start. From then on, diversions and restrictions on the routes must be expected!

Where can I camp or sleep?

It is strictly forbidden to camp/sleep on the festival site or the surrounding parking lots. Please use official camping grounds or hotels/hostels.

How do I get to Winterberg?

By car:

Use google-maps and keep in mind we have park & ride parking lots (5,- € per day) with free bus shuttle to the bike park.

By train/public transport:

Winterberg is easy to teach by train, check www.bahn.de for connections. Once you arrived at the train station, your journey continues by bus. The lines R28 and S40 will take you to the bike park, the drop-off station is called „Bobbahn“.

By plane:

Closest airports are:

Warsteiner Whip Off's powered by SPANK:

The popular Warsteiner Whip Off presented by Spank is an invitational contest again this year, which means that only invited riders are allowed to take part. However, you still have a chance to be at the start as well.

How do you do it?

Upload a video clip of your fattest whip on your Instagram profile by 11.59pm on 5 September, link to the @ixsdirtmasters page and use the hashtag #warsteinerwhipoffbattle2021.

This year we would like to offer 20 riders the same chance of a starting place.

Therefore, there will be no on-site registration in 2021. We will identify 20 riders through this Instagram contest to ride a qualifying session in Winterberg on Saturday afternoon. The best 5 will move on to the seeded field of riders!

After the closing date for entries, the evaluation will be carried out with eagle eyes and with a bit of luck you'll be right at the front! We are looking forward to your entry!

Here's some additional information for the festival:

Glas-bottles, weapons, fireworks and all kinds of violence are strictly forbidden!

In case you think that it is a good idea to bring your dog to such a big event, please put him/her on a leash. Be aware that there will be times with thousands of people on the festival site, especially during Whip Off's.
